What Is A Flood Wall?

A concrete or masonry water retaining structure used to ensure flood control safety or other special requirements in towns and important industrial and mining enterprises, along rivers, coastal areas (part of seawalls), also known as a flood control wall. The function of a flood control wall is the same as that of a dike. Since there are important traffic routes and densely packed buildings along the river in cities, sometimes due to the limitations of existing projects, the needs of urban planning and development, or the limited soil source, flood control walls have to be used to reduce land occupation and demolition.
